ANADOLU KÜLTÜR and Kommunale Integrationszentren Landeskoordinierungsstelle — LAKI are hiring two Project Coordinators who will jointly manage the project “German-Turkish Initiative for Cooperation on Refugee Relief”, one based in Istanbul and the other one in Germany. Anadolu Kültür is additionally hiring a Project Assistant who will be based in Istanbul. About the Project
The objective of the project is the establishment of a network of actors who are engaged in the field of refugee children’s education and integration in Germany and Turkey. The project will promote an exchange between professionals, teachers, educators, educational institutions, and civil society organizations, as well as academics and local authorities based in the Ruhr Region, Berlin, Istanbul and Gaziantep. It will support the development and application of new tools and methods that will increase the linguistic skills of refugee children and empower them to utilize their cultural heritage for better integration in the host country. The project will be implemented in cooperation with Kommunale Integrationszentren Landeskoordinierungsstelle — LAKI (Arnsberg) and supported by Stiftung Mercator.

Qualifications for Project Coordinator:
• At least Bachelor’s, preferably Master’s degree, or an equivalent degree in a discipline which is relevant to the project;
• At least five years experience in project management;
• Sound knowledge and skills in needs assessment, project planning, project implementation, monitoring and evaluation;
• Substantial experience in convening diverse groups which comprise members from different cultural, lingual, and professional backgrounds;
• Sound knowledge of group facilitation;
• Sufficient management experience in inter-cultural projects and good command of theoretical and practical issues related to migration and social integration;
• Besides the national languages, English will be used as the common language. Knowledge of Arabic constitutes a factor of preference.
Duties and Responsibilities for Project Coordinator:
• Management of the project in close collaboration with the coordinator in Germany through regular meetings and conference calls;
• Establishing a network of educators from Istanbul and Gaziantep; Identifying relevant organizations and actors; Engaging and building trust towards potential participants;
• Convening participants in a variety of formats including workshops, working groups, work visits; Planning, organizing, and hosting these formats;
• Facilitating the group; Helping its members to understand their common objectives and assists them to plan how to achieve these objectives throughout the project;
• Willingness to travel throughout the project cities is required;
• Identifying areas for the cooperation of Turkish and German experts and organizations engaged in refugee education; Convene meetings to facilitate exchange and collaboration between participants and relevant stakeholders;
• Setting up a communication strategy, and carrying out communication by means of disseminating information through different media (e.g. project descriptions, flyers, press releases, home page, social media account);
• Advocacy vis-a-vis representatives from ministries, schools, municipalities, teacher unions, which may contribute to the systemic impact of the project;
• Regular and diligent communication, updates and reporting to the project partners and Stiftung Mercator;
• Being committed to achieve the overarching project goals.
Qualifications for the Project Assistant
• At least Bachelor’s degree in a discipline which is relevant to the project;
• At least two years experience in project management;
• Strong organizational and reporting skills;
• Substantial experience in convening diverse groups which comprise members from different cultural, lingual, and professional backgrounds;

• Preparing monthly activity reports;
• Following the expenditures and prepare financial reports;
• Being committed to achieve the overarching project goals.
