About Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom
The Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom (FNF) is the foundation for liberal politics in the Federal Republic of Germany. It aims to promote the goal of making the principle of freedom valid for the dignity of all people and in all areas of society, both in Germany and abroad. In Germany, the Foundation offers various forums, mostly for young and talented people, to exchange information and experience in present-day contexts. Abroad, the support of human rights, the rule of law and democracy in more than 60 countries form the core of the work of the regional offices in Europe, Africa, Asia, and Central America; various forms of international dialogue and transatlantic dialogue programs are implemented in order to promote these values around the world. The FNF has been acting in Turkey with partners from civil society, academia, economy and politics since 1991 when the first office was opened in Ankara. In 2002, the office moved to Istanbul.
Position: Finance Administrator
Depending on the current tasks at hand in the office, the responsibilities and duties of the Finance Administrator will mainly include:
• Daily financial activities
• Financial planning in projects and the budgeting of measures
• Follow up of the invoices of all project activities and infrastructure
• Check and ensure the accountability of expenditures
• Responsibility for all monetary transactions
• Review of transactions in the projects according to internal and external specifications
• Internal/external reporting including Turkish authorities
• Auditing and review of documents in synchronicity with the regional headquarters
• Procurement and inventory
• Support the colleagues in terms of compliance with financial, accounting and applicability issues
• Follow up the documents of the staff (insurance, holidays, etc.)
• Follow up the contracts and the functioning of the office infrastructure
Requirements
· Excellent oral and written communication skills, fluency in German and English required
· Minimum Bachelor degree in a study area relevant, such as economics, business administration or related fields
· Minimum two years’ experience in a related field
· Turkish Citizenship
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office and MS Dynamics NAV or a similar accounting program
· Ability to juggle multiple tasks and consistently meet deadlines
· Flexibility and social competence are highly required
Position Place: Istanbul, Turkey
Latest Start Date: June/July 2019 (as early as possible)
Job Duration: 12 Months with a possibility of extension, Full Time
